Your financial data is some of the most sensitive data you have. Here is exactly how Runway protects it — in plain language, not legalese.
When you use the AI CFO or generate reports, we send only summarised monthly totals — total revenue, total burn. Individual transactions, bank details and credentials are never shared with any AI provider.
Integrations use read-only access wherever the provider supports it. API keys and tokens are stored encrypted and used solely to sync — Runway never moves money.
Your identifiable financials are never sold. Anonymised, aggregated benchmarks are shared only when you explicitly opt in — and you can toggle that off anytime in Settings.
Your financial data is never used to train machine-learning models, ours or anyone else's.
You choose whether to appear in the investor directory, and exactly what each investor can see in your data room — from a teaser to a deep audit. Every view is logged.
In line with India's DPDP Act, you can export your data or delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy.
The most common question we get is whether your transactions are sent to an AI. They are not. The assistant and report generators operate on a minimised context — aggregated monthly figures and the industry vertical for benchmarking. No company name, no bank details, no raw transactions, no credentials ever leave Runway for an AI provider.
